Thank you to Making A Mark again for a photo mention regarding the Lynn Painter Stainers……when I arrived for the private view on Monday night I went to look for my work and was very sad to find a deep scratch across the painting – it must have happened in the handling and hanging, nobody knew or would say what happened – one of the risks of sending work off – as artists we are often responsible for our own insurances and I am sure like me, many do not take them out because of the expense… I went back tuesday morning to make repairs and is as good as new…phew.
Had it been a canvas it would have torn …another reason for good old gessoed plywood!
